People pay: $27
Cashier keeps: -$2
Discount: $5
27-2+5=30
Easy! If $5 dollars was given back from 30 than only 25 was spent.
you don't add the 2 dollars to the 27 you subtract. 27 minus 2 equals th 25 that was spent.
common error. now you take the 25 dollars plus the 2 dollars plus the 3 dollars and you get 30 what you started with.
Can you PLEASE help me solve this math riddle, it's driving me INSANE!!!?
As far as they are aware, they paid $27 total, the cashier just kept $2 without telling them. $25 for the pizza plus $2 for the tip.
They then got $3 back
$30 total
they're using false logic to confuse you!!
entire price=30
each man paid 10, 3*10=30
5 dollars off: 30-5=25.
cashier gives dollar to each:
25+3=28
2 dollars in managers pocket:
28+2=30 Can you PLEASE help me solve this math riddle, it's driving me INSANE!!!?
30-5=25
the cashier kept 2 and gave 3 back
2+3=5
25+5=30
there is no other dollar
you can't do math the wrong way
instead of adding the $2 tip to the amount they paid(27) you should be subtracting it so that it adds back to $25(the cost of the pizza).
The first payed 10,the second payed 10,but the third only had to pay 5,so thats.25 total,so she gave each 1 dollar back out of the remaining 5 of the 30,,30-5=25,,25-3=2.,,,2 dollar tip
it's called human error. you can look all you want but you will never find it!
The next time u go for pizza with ur friends and a $5 discount coupon, ask the same to the cashier at the desk. You will certainly get the answer.
hmmmm.....i've head this one before but i forgot what it is. sorry....not much help
in there Pocket?
