Free Pizza, would you buy this?

If someone came to your front door, representing a local charatiy and a local business (lets say Papa Murphy's) who had teamed up together, someone who dressed and acted very nice, selling a coupon book that cost $15, and the first coupon was for a free gourmet pizza (valued at at least $15)and there were 5 other good money saving coupons you dont normally see that you could use after that, would you buy it?

Also, 10% of the sale ($1.50) would go to the local charity - meaning if 1,000 coupons were sold you would be apart of an action group that had raised $1,500 for that charity, uniting the community, consumer, business, and charity together for a common good - all supporting eachother.Free Pizza, would you buy this?

Yes!Although $1,500.00 doesn't seem like a lot of money.But if combined with other charitable funds(every little bit adds up)! The thing to realize is that at least someone is trying to do something to help others!
This sounds like a common practice already in effect where you buy discount cards and then redeem them at local businesses.

Someone tried this before and I could never get the coupon spent so it was a scam. Would never do it again.

Took me a minute to get it but I think I understand your question. If so, I think you're questioning the legitimacy of the coupon book.



Many companies will team up and sponsor books like that. They need the tax write off which they can show proof for with the return of the coupon to that store.



If you ever have any question, find out who the charity is and then call one of the local vendors listed to see if it's legit.
Probably if i knew for sure that part of the money was going to charity. I think more than 10% should go though..that leaves 90% to the business which isn't helping a charity much.
