Well it may have been more useful to just go ahead and get him a slice of pizza, but I wouldn't say wrong.....maybe not logical.
laterA homeless man asked for change but I didn't have any, so I gave him some Pizza hut coupons. Was that wrong?
No that is not wrong. It is highly reccomended that you do not give homeless people money but instead food recources if possible. In many cases they are homeless in the first place because of irresponsibility or lack of controll with money. Money will usually hurt more than it will help most homeless people. You did a very good thing helping that man the way you did, I'm sure he appreciated it very much.
You were trying to help, and trying to help is never wrong. However, like others had said, if it was a discount coupon, he probably can't use it. If it was for a free something, or a punch card where you collect so many you get something free, then that's great.
If it's a punch card he can just sit near the pizza hut and ask ppl for their punches till he has enough for lunch. A man used to do that at a Subway I went to a lot. He'd ask for stamps only.A homeless man asked for change but I didn't have any, so I gave him some Pizza hut coupons. Was that wrong?
I agree with the answers about giving food rather than money.
I also agree with the answers that the pizza coupons were probably not helpful. You may as well give him discount coupons from the Sunday paper for all they're worth.
Buying some food and giving it to the 'beggar' is more appropriate.
Giving money is not. I worry myself that money will not go to food, but to feed a habit- alcohol, gambling, drugs, etc.
Depends. He probably didn't have much money to begin with. So, he probably doesn't have any money to use with the coupons.
Or, where they coupons for free pizza? Some how I doubt it.
So, you really didn't give him anything. And, you made a statement by giving him coupons he can't use- kind of arrogant and unkind.A homeless man asked for change but I didn't have any, so I gave him some Pizza hut coupons. Was that wrong?
When I was driving through a Burger King line, I saw a elderly homeless man waiting to ask each driver for money. I put in my order and also order a cheeseburger, fries orange juice and a milk (tried to make it all healthy food) and requested that they be put in a separate bag. i handed the bag to the man when I passed him.
No I don't think that is wrong actually he could use the coupons that you gave him with the donated amount of money that he receives from other people and be able to get a discount when he goes to pizza hut to order his pizza and probably get his pizza at a low amount of money.
I don't think it was wrong. A homeless woman sitting outside a McDonalds once asked me for money to buy coffee. I said wait. %26amp;, I went inside %26amp; got her a burger %26amp; fries %26amp; her coffee.
It's all you had and you were sincere. That's all charity is.
