15-20% or more if you feel you got good service from him.

These guys usually work for minimum wage and depend on tips to keep them going.

They usually have to use their own cars also.
Usually 3 is considered a good tip. The delivery charge that everyone complains so much about doesn't go to the driver. For those that say don't give them anything, you can tell you haven't worked in a restaurant, try it and then tell me that you still think they don't deserve a tip.

How much should i tip the pizza delivery guy?
It depends how long does it take for the Pizza to be delivered.
$2-4How much should i tip the pizza delivery guy?
i usually give about $2. if it was quick delivery maybe closer to $3, and if it was slow only $1
Standard tip rate for a pizza delivery person is around 15%. If you are considering going lower or higher on that you should base it on things that the delivery driver has control over.

These would be the speed of the delivery, the graciousness of the driver when speaking with you and handing you your items, their friendliness/politeness, professional attitude, etc. You should also adjust based on the complexity/size of the order. For example, if you had a lot of items and they had to make multiple trips or carry a real heavy load, you may want to raise it slightly. If you noticed the lack of mayo while they were there and they offered some sort of assistance or compensation, then of course, that would probably influence you as well.

Now for me, since I have a slight shallow side to me as well, I may also adjust based on how adorable the guy is. :)

Hope this helps,

Dan
i will let you know the delivery guy doesn't make the pizza so just double the tax
5$
5.00
The Tip should have been at least $2.50 to $3.40 you need a Tip Calculator depending on either a 15% to 20% Tip. Some places include a Tip so you can always ask when you place the order

you know if I was paying three dollors a gallon and trying to put food on the table and got the dillevery job for a grounds to put this such thing what would you do?
Usually 1 or 2 dollars. They're already making $7 or more an hour and some places pay commission on the number of pizzas they deliver.
2 dollars minimum
I'd say about $2-$3
um a dollar or two!!
btw i'm not mad at you maybe you have given him $3.00 besides he's not the one who made your mean but he catches the flack from every customer who's order is wrong.
You could probably get away with giving the driver $2.00 for their trouble. Besides, they already have a set salary and the drivers get paid a little more due to the dangers they may face on the job. You just make sure you DO give a tip because if they didn't show up at your door you would have to end up cooking something.
3 or 4 bucks
No less than $2 and no more than $5. That's what I would do. Unless you're really generous...
I would give him 20. I use to deliver pizza when I was younger. Its a great job that pays well compare to other unskilled jobs. Most, like me at the time make most of our income in tips.

Its not that I remember the good tippers and deliver first but I remember the cheap people and delivered last.

Pizza pay is usually minimum wage +tips and sometimes 50 cents to 1 buck a pizza to cover gas, thats it.

Considering someone drove a pizza to your house and the current gas prices, cost of car and the fact they are doing it for a living why not make their day and throw them a few extra bucks. You wont really miss it if you can afford pizza in the first place and it will make their day.
depends on your budget but for sure $4 to $6 me I'm a MAD TIPPER I tip from 50% of the tab and up so its 50% of the tab and if the delivery man/gal was smart enough to smile and be courteous its MORE
A buck per pizza or sub that they have to drive over to your house and bring to your door. And btw, since YOU don't work there you have no idea how much extra, the extra mayo portion is. This is a peeve of mine. Customers have no idea what the weights and portions are for the regular size and what a extra bit consists of. I am always right and the customer is 99.9% WRONG. They are all the same. Trying to get something for nothing. It doesn't help to call the store when your food is late and on its way. It doesn't help to gyp the delivery guy for the cooks mistake. Maybe you need a job at a crappy store so you can earn the right to criticize.
I would give him $20--that's only $2.93 for a tip.
At the minimum 10% , but I would go at least 15%.

I dont know because I dont tip
