How do I understand how much a pizza costs?

I had this coupon for a pizza for $8.99

After I ordered for delivary, I was told it would cost $11.02.

So this is a $2.03 difference, and I've never had the pizza delivary person give a receipt itemizing the costs. I know my tax rate isn't 22.5% ... I think it's more like 4%.

I'm shy, so I have to haggle over prices, but I feel like I'm being ripped off!!! This hurts more since I feel guilty and tip the driver ... but the rip off of $2.00 and the tip is breaking my pizza budget!!!How do I understand how much a pizza costs?
Most places charge a $2.50 delivery fee for delivery service. Call the pizza place and ask. It's your money!
make them itemize the cost, ask them to explain all cost to you if if you think your being riped off REFUSE the delivery!!!How do I understand how much a pizza costs?
If i were you right after you order ask how much your order is going to cost and ask them to include everything like the delivery service and tax and including tip and after that you will know you are not being ripped of. The only way to feel like your not being ripped off is be agressive (its your money you shouldnt have to just give it away (ecept for tip))
I think flowerlover was right. Maybe you live outside the free delivery zone and they are charging you for delivery.

If you live outside the zone, there's not much you can do, and you are still expected by courtesy to tip the driver, it's not his/her fault you live outside the restaurant's declared zone. How do I understand how much a pizza costs?
no matter what the real reason they're charging that much is, you are definitely getting ripped off. Any time that you pay for something without understanding why is a rip off. They made you think you were only going to pay $9 and then charged you $11. That's deceptive, even if the extra money is for something like delivery. It's still a rip off to not tell you till you get to the door!

Just get pizza from somewhere else!
